CPS design, engineer and fabricate a large variety of idler configurations according to industry standards and/or customer requirements. 1,2,3,4 or 5 roll design, offset or inline, top mounted or underslung. Idlers are supplied for a standard range of belt widths from 450 mm to 2400 mm.
The engineering department at CPS is responsible for the continuous improvement in these products and manufacturing systems. The team utilises the latest computer aided design and simulation software to assist in ensuring client needs are consistently exceeded. Engineering resources have been invested in automation systems maximising our capacity and guaranteeing our products are quick to market while cost effective. The team aids our clients with technical support and can also provide in depth on site assistance.
Frames are manufactured in dedicated factories, using CNC laser cutters, tube bend press and robotic welding, to produce idler frames and other associated structure to tolerance and quality levels previously unseen in the conveyor industry.
Where current frames are not sufficiently robust, with rigidity issues, fatigue fracturing, and roller slot elongation due to plastic deformation from repeated impacts and rattling against the hard roller shaft.
Where impact frames rattling and moving under heavy impact zones cause belt/skirting deviation and spillage, resulting in increased belt wear.
A Major Iron Ore Producer has reported belt life extension of over 100% given the reduction in skirt wear and impact fatigue since installing CPS 3-roll jacking frames.
